Fort Wayne Metals announced the availability of Silk™ Nitinol during the SMST Conference on May 12, 2014. This material achieves a surface roughness of 3µin RMS or less with no visible oxide. This means that using Silk™ Nitinol can eliminate the need for mechanical or electropolishing.
